I. பெயர்ச்சொல் (Noun) : ஒரு நபர், இடம், விலங்கு, பொருள் அல்லது கருத்தைக் குறிக்கும் எந்தவொரு சொல்லையும் பெயர்ச்சொல் (Noun) என்று அழைக்கிறோம்

Noun(பெயர்ச்சொல் ) A person, a place, an animal, a thing /an object or a concept is called Noun.

Example :

1. A person (ஒரு நபர்) : Vimala, அம்மா, Hari, Mohammed.
2. A place ( ஒரு இடம்) : Chennai, TamilNadu, India.
3. An animal (ஒரு விலங்கு) : a lion, a tiger, Cats, Dogs.
4. A thing /an object (ஒரு பொருள்): Cups, a mug, a book.
5. A concept (ஒரு கருத்து): Love, Anger, knowledge.

II. வினைச்சொல்(Verb) என்பது ஒரு வாக்கியத்தில் செய்யப்படும் செயல் (action), நிலை (state of being) அல்லது நிகழ்வை (event) குறிக்கும் சொல்.

Verb(வினைச்சொல்) is an action word or a state of being.

Example :

1. Eat – சாப்பிடு;
2. Come – வா / வரு
3. Go – போ
4. Run – ஓடு
5. Sleep – தூங்கு

பிரதிப்பெயர்ச்சொல்(Pronoun): ஒரு பெயர்ச்சொல்லுக்குப் பதிலாகப் பயன்படுத்தப்படும் சொல் ஆகும்.
